Snow!

Everyone worries about being able to get out of the driveway to get to work. No one ever worries about getting back in!

And this was just the first day. It's gotten much higher. Tempeture, 16F

WOOT!

Can we say woo hoo!!! After 8 years of living in Washington, we FINALLY have carls jr. here!!! Needless to say, I am one happy Megan. I just had to share my all time joy. Merry Christmas to me!!!

Surprising

I sat down the other night to get ready to watch my weekly ritual of watching Bones and Ghost Hunters. Bones I guess is over for the season, and a show called Secret Millionaire is on now. I decided to watch it. To my surprise I found my self in tears through half of it. It is a very touching show, and probably one of my favorites now. If you are looking for a good show to watch with good values and good people, this show is a definite heart breaker.

Thought of the month

Instead of being a time of unusual behavior, Christmas is perhaps the only time in the year when people can obey their natural impulses and express their true sentiments without feeling self-conscious and, perhaps, foolish. Christmas, in short, is about the only chance a man has to be himself. ~Francis C. Farley

Twilight Review

So i know a few of you have read twilight, and are fans of it. I went and saw the midnight showing of it. 4Theaters sold out for it all at the same time showing. so you just had to pick which theater you wanted to sit in.

I was pleasantly surprised. I was expecting a lot less sticking to the actual story, and the main female actor not to do that great. But as a whole, I really liked it. Definitely will look forward to the second one. And for you boys out there. I dragged Ryan, John, and Ben with me to see it. And all three really liked it. So not just for chicks. It actually convinced my friend John to read the books.

Mmmm so good

So, I'm not really one who cooks from scratch a lot. Though when I do, I'm dang good at it! Ryan came home saying he needed to take something to work for a pot luck, and he told everyone of a dish I had made a while back for a medieval banquet we did for the Youth of the church. Somehow I got suckered into making it at about midnight so he could take it to work the next morning, and it was a major hit I guess. Everyone was in love. It's a simple recipe so I thought I'd share it with everyone.

Icelandic Chicken: You will need chicken, bacon, flour, chosen spices.
(for cooking i simply use a cookie sheet or cake pan, covered with aluminum foil, with edges turned up to hold in any juice. Placing the chicken on that)
1.Preheat the oven to 450
2.I use the separate chicken breasts you can just buy at the store. but any chicken will do. Whole, chicken legs...ect.
(Depending how much chicken you are making, this next part will vary.)
3. In a bowl mix flour and water together till you have a nice amount of bread type doe. Thick and somewhat stretchy.
4. Mix Basil and Thyme into the doe. How much is up to you. (I like a lot of seasoning)
5. Season the chicken with a generous amount of Basil and a bit of seasonal.
6. Wrap each chicken breast (or whole chicken) in strips of bacon.
7. Wrap bacon wrapped chicken in seasoned doe. Make sure chicken is completely covered by the doe. Place the chicken on the cookie sheet and let it cook for 45 min or until done. For whole chickens use suggested cooking temperature and time for poundage.

Best Idea

Can I just say I am happy that Conference is broadcasted on the internet. I woke up with a tension headache and really didn't look forward to dressing up and sitting in hard benches to watch a t.v. at church. Then I remembered you could watch it live on the internet, and ran to get my blanket and hot chocolate and curl up in front of my computer. I was also happy to be able to get some of my non member friends to watch it from their computers too and talk to them about it. Greatest idea ever!

And you know, the fact that a Temple will be built in Rome kinda makes me chuckel. Not sure why.

I Love My Job

Ok, my new obsession. I didn't even know Bath and Body Works had Shampoo and hair products. But I'm in love. Especially with the mist spray you see on the left. It's ment to give your hair a very healthy looking shine. And I can testify it works! Fedrick Fekkai is a very well known world wide hair designer for the stars, and this is his line of product that you can get at B&BW. The friz gell is awesome too. Definate must haves for those who are bored about their hair!

A simple pretty song

I haven't found a player I really like yet for my blog, so I'm going to share one of my favorite songs through You Tube. It's not much, but the guitar is pretty and I really like the artist.

Yay for Autumn!

My all time favorite season. With the colors and wind. Perfect for hot chocolate, and curling up with good movies, or walks on the clear days. Jumping in leaves, or finding fun decorations. What better way to start off my new blog. I started working at Bath & Body Works, and I love it. Especially for the seasons, it is a lot of fun. Cinnamon and pumpkin scents everywhere, cute little baskets and decorations. A bad place to work when you are trying to save money. One of the first jobs I've ever had that I don't have something to complain about. It's a good start for me I think.
My Picture for the season is The perfect road to walk upon:
